Signs

I found a long lost poem

For years unseen,

I had forgotten much of what I had written

But it stuck,

Like a dream

With my poem gone

And me absent too

I found a world wrapped up in madness,

And a hell where I turned blue.

This may be my story,

But it is yours now too

For when the calm took the storm

You found me and my poem

You reminded me of the fervent truth:

This world is powerful and scary,

But it will always bring me to you.
